Veturi & Leading companies

Business Finland funding for Leading Companies and Ecosystems

Business Finland has launched launched challenge competitions in which companies with international operations agreed to resolve significant future challenges and increase their research, development and innovation investments in Finland. If successful, these projects will lead to additional investments of several billion euros in Finland. The proposed projects were to solve significant future challenges and have a remarkable impact on the RDI (Research, Development and Innovation) target of 4% and the employment target of 75% laid down in the Government Programme.

The winning companies have committed to increasing their RDI investments in Finland cumulatively by almost 1.5 billion euro in total. In addition, the leading companies were to boost RDI cooperation with research organisations and SMEs.

Valio - FOOD 2.0

The future food system (Food 2.0) is a comprehensive concept that encompasses more than just food. Alongside food production, it generates energy, feed, and even fiber materials. Simultaneously, nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, water, and carbon circulate among different components of the food system

The actual food production includes all forms of food production. Plant-based, animal-derived, and cell-cultured food products are interconnected within the food system. For instance, nutrients from animal farms contribute to crop cultivation through circular fertilization. Removing one piece from this system affects the others.
